Celebrating Independence, Healing, and Four Years of Transform MFR

As I reflect on the past month, I am filled with gratitude.

I am grateful to be doing meaningful work that has helped so many people. This doesn't feel like work—it feels like a calling. It feels like my soul's purpose. I love what I do, and I am deeply grateful to have created a business that changes lives.

Four years ago, I opened Transform Myofascial Release with a lot of fear. I was afraid I wasn't good enough. Afraid I didn't know enough. Afraid I didn't know how to run a business. Afraid no one would ever book a session with me.

But my husband believed in me.

He encouraged me to pursue work that I genuinely enjoyed. While I had enjoyed my career as an occupational therapist in traditional medical settings, I knew that myofascial release was what I was meant to be doing. His belief in me gave me the courage to take the leap, and I will always be grateful for his support and encouragement.

During those early days, I leaned heavily on two affirmations that helped quiet my fears and strengthen my confidence:

"I am willing to do all of this scared."

And,

"I can help anyone who walks through my door.”

I opened Transform Myofascial Release to change lives.

  • Who are you when pain no longer limits your life?

  • Who are you when the tightness in your stomach from years of anxious thoughts melts away and you finally exhale?

  • Who are you when your energy returns, your motivation comes back, and your inspiration reawakens?

Myofascial release is about more than releasing fascia and easing muscle tension. It's about what happens afterward. It's about helping people reconnect with themselves and reclaim the life that pain, stress, trauma, or restriction may have taken away.

That is why I'm here.

To my Transform Myofascial Release family: thank you for trusting me. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your healing journey. I am here because of you.

Cheers to four years!

To celebrate my anniversary week (June 15th-19th), I filled it with things that nourish me. I celebrated the entire week because on the very first day I opened Transform Myofascial Release, no one booked a session—so I went sailing instead. Four years later, that tradition feels especially fitting. Like my birthday, which somehow stretches into a month-long celebration, I believe life's milestones deserve more than a single day.

I attended my monthly shamanic journey circle and on my day off I treated myself to two back-to-back myofascial release sessions, followed by a polarity energy clearing at Flowers & Stars in Magnolia.

Self-care has gotten me this far, and it felt like the perfect way to celebrate.

And the celebration continues. . . I attended a Solstice Yoga class at Wingaersheek Beach led by the wonderful Kelly Annese (also a talented craniosacral therapist) last week and spent many peaceful moments sitting outside journaling about all that I am grateful for and what I hope to achieve in the coming year.

One of those goals is to continue growing professionally and move from the Advanced level to the Expert level as a Myofascial Release practitioner. I am hopeful to be accepted into MFR III this October in Sedona, Arizona, and I am excited for the opportunity to deepen my skills and better serve my clients.

June seemed to fly by. Although our sailboat launch was delayed due to engine work, we still managed to spend several wonderful days and nights aboard Limin', our 33-foot sloop.

The name comes from a Caribbean expression that I fell in love with when I lived in the Virgin Islands many years ago. "Limin'" means slowing down and savoring the moment. It means enjoying time together without rushing—being present, unhurried, and appreciating life's simple pleasures.

The Fourth of July always reminds me that independence comes in many forms. While we often think of freedom in a national sense, I also think about the freedom that comes from living with less pain, less tension, and fewer limitations. Freedom to move more easily. Freedom to sleep better. Freedom to say yes to the activities you love. Freedom to be fully present in your life. That kind of freedom is worth celebrating, too.

As we move into the heart of summer, I hope you find moments to do a little limin' of your own—slowing down, savoring the moment, and appreciating what matters most.

Wishing you a joyful Fourth of July and a wonderful month ahead filled with healing, freedom, connection, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

We are fully booked through August so if you’re looking to squeeze in a session, keep an eye open for cancellations!

And some of you have asked–it continues to be feline bliss in our home.  Best friends & brothers from another mother!  Snapper & Manchego are constantly playing with eachother. And Snapper, weighing in at just 4 pounds, is the Alpha cat dominating his 20# older brother.

As always, take good care,

Jessica
