Meet The Therapist

Jessica Eddy-Storey

Founder of Transform Myofascial Release

I’ve been on a lifelong journey to get my body out of pain.  As a child, I broke my maxilla (bone in my face) and needed a lot of orthodontic work & TMJ treatment. I had chronic knee pain and surgery in high school which exposed me to a lot of therapy.  I graduated from Boston University with a degree in occupational therapy and have over 25 years of experience  helping people regain their ability to do the things they not just need to do but love to do.

I have known pain.

I have had several whiplash injuries, broken bones, a chronic ankle sprain that wouldn’t heal despite therapy, injections, wearing a walking boot for two years. I know what it’s like to not sleep for days because of pain.  I know what it’s like to no longer have joy in your life because pain has sucked all your energy. I have tried many, many, things to help.

I have been a life-long yoga practitioner, starting in the womb when my mom practiced pre-natal yoga. I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2003. Yoga has helped keep my body limber but when I have been in serious pain, I needed more.

After trying so many things to heal chronic shoulder pain, I found a gifted physician using non-surgical techniques to treat chronic pain.  He re-introduced me to fascia, myofascial pain and this helped me on my journey to discover myofascial release and become a myofascial release therapist.  Myofascial Release provided lasting deep physical and emotional healing for me and now I want to share that with others.

I know that pain isn’t always just physical and that some injuries often have an emotional undercurrent. Our bodies keep score. I am also a trauma-informed Reiki Master, polarity practitioner & trained in Integrated Energy Therapy.

I opened Transform Myofascial Release, Inc. with the mission to help people transform their lives. I holistically support and empower my patients to get out of pain so they can achieve greater health, happiness, and wellbeing. I blend my intuition and energy practices with my knowledge of anatomy, injury and the fascia to provide a comprehensive emotional & physical healing experience.

I live in Beverly with my husband & two cats. I have a strong self-care practice including daily meditation, journaling, centering exercises, yoga & Myofascial stretching, and I receive regular MFR treatment. I know that in order to take care of others I must first be in the best condition possible.

I love to exercise & take HIIT classes at the Beverly Athletic Club. I am a life-long beach bum and happiest on, in or by the sea. I spent 3 years teaching yoga in the Virgin Islands and have since needed regular vacations to the Caribbean to keep me sane during the winter months. I enjoy traveling the world, SCUBA diving in exotic places and my husband & I are proud members of the Jubilee Yacht Club where we keep our 33’ sailboat, Limin’, (Caribbean word for relaxing & going slow).
